Syrian MP warns of Al-Hol camp designated for ISIS family members

A member of the Syrian People’s Assembly, Muhammad Fawaz, confirmed that Al-Hol camp is a source of concern for Syria and the entire region, warning against slipping again into chaos.

Fawaz said in a press interview, followed by Shia Waves Agency, that “the continued control of the Al-Hol camp by the American forces will have serious repercussions on the security of the region.”

 He added that “the United States of America directly sponsors thousands of terrorists,” noting that “America extends its control over prisons in which hardened terrorists are in control of the Middle East.”

 The US State Department confirmed the visit of a number of US officials to the Al-Hol camp in Syria, which is designated for the detention of families of the terrorist ISIS organization.

US State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a press briefing that US officials visited the camp in northern Syria, and called on “all countries to work to retrieve their citizens.”
