The Kaaba is witnessing an astronomical event tomorrow

The Saudi Astronomical Society announced in Jeddah that the sun will perpendicular to the Kaaba on Friday, at the noon call to prayer, noting that it is the second and last perpendicular during this year.

The official account of the Astronomical Society in Jeddah said via Twitter today: “The sky of Makkah Al-Mukarramah will witness the sun’s perpendicular to the Kaaba on July 15, 2022, at the time of the noon call to prayer in the Grand Mosque at 12.27 pm (9.27 am GMT).”

He added: “Then it will be at an altitude of (90 degrees) approximately, and the shadow of the Kaaba will disappear, and it will represent the second and final perpendicularity this year.”
