Saudi Arabia: Iron barriers lifted from the tomb of Lady Umm al-Banin, peace be upon her, in Jannat al-Baqi

Social media influencers have circulated a video clip showing the authorities in Medina lifting the iron barriers and wires that surrounded the tomb of Lady Umm al-Banin, peace be upon her, in Jannat al-Baqi al-Gharqad.

In their comments, which were followed by Shia Waves News Agency, they described the event as good tidings for the followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.

The tomb of the wife of the Commander of the Faithful, Lady Umm al-Banin, peace be upon her, is located in the cemetery of Jannat al-Baqi, to the left of the entrance to the honorable cemetery from its main gate opposite the Prophet’s Mosque, peace be upon him and his progeny.

The honorable tomb, like the rest of the pure graves of the imams of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, was destroyed during the Wahhabi movement’s control over Saudi Arabia.

The lifting of iron barriers from the holy tomb coincides with a request made by the leader of the Sadrist movement in Iraq, Muqtada al-Sadr, when he called on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to rebuild the graves of the imams of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Jannat al-Baqi.

Al-Sadr said in a tweet, “We hope from the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to reconstruct the graves of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in al-Baqi, especially after the brother, the Saudi Crown Prince, adopted the Kingdom’s moderate policy.”
