The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Preaching and Guidance has launched an artificial intelligence–powered robot to support participants in the 27th King Abdulaziz National Quran Memorization, Recitation and Exegesis Competition, according to IQNA.
The initiative aims to enhance organizational efficiency and improve the overall experience of contestants. The AI-enabled robot provides comprehensive information about the competition, including the number of participants, the six contest categories, schedules, and total prize allocations, which amount to 7 million Saudi riyals. Participants receive updates and relevant details directly through WhatsApp, while the robot also responds to inquiries in real time.
Officials said the system can communicate in 95 languages, reflecting efforts to accommodate participants from diverse linguistic backgrounds. The ministry described the move as part of its broader strategy to integrate advanced technologies into religious and cultural initiatives, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
