Pakistani scholars condemn the ban imposed on Sayyed Shahanshah Al-Naqvi

Yesterday, the religious and scientific community in Pakistan condemned the continued ban on the Husseini preacher, Sayyid Shahanshah Hussain Al-Naqvi, from entering Punjab and holding religious lectures.

A joint statement by a number of Shia scholars in the country, which was followed by Shia Waves News Agency, said: “The Husseini preacher, Sayyed Shahanshah Hussein Al-Naqvi, is under fierce attack from the Takfiri elements, who are preventing him from entering the Punjab province and practicing his preaching and Hawza activity.”

In their statement, the scholars demanded “the immediate lifting of the ban on Al-Naqvi.”

Al-Naqvi published a message on social media, in which he said: “The ban from entering Punjab and holding religious lectures imposed by the Takfiris is unjustified, and against the civil liberties.”

He continued that the Civil Administration and the Minister of Interior in Punjab had sent him a notice to ban him again from entering the province, as he had previously been subjected to the same ban because of his religious lectures.
