The army said the operation took place on Saturday in Panjgur district as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts in the region.

Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest but least developed province, has faced a long-running insurgency, with separatist groups accusing the central government of exploiting local resources without adequately benefiting residents.
