Pakistan to Host First International Capital Market Conference and Expo in 2025
……….
Pakistan will host its first International Capital Market Conference and Expo in 2025 to promote regional cooperation, investment, and knowledge-sharing across financial markets, Arab News reported. According to a statement from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the event will be organized in collaboration with the country’s capital market infrastructure institutions and will bring together regulators, policymakers, and market participants from countries including Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Iran, and the United States.
Multilateral organizations and key domestic stakeholders are also expected to attend. The SECP said the conference will mark the culmination of a year of “sustained regulatory diplomacy” and provide a platform for dialogue on advancing capital market development and regional financial integration. Running alongside the conference, an expo will feature banks, asset managers, insurers, brokerage firms, and technology companies to promote financial literacy and investor education.
The initiative comes as Pakistan continues to modernize its financial infrastructure through reforms such as stock exchange demutualization, new clearing systems, and digital investor onboarding. The SECP said the 2025 conference aims to attract foreign investment, strengthen cooperation, and build long-term partnerships across markets.
