May 15th, the Express tribune reported that Female schoolteachers in Parachinar, Kurram tribal district, held a protest against the brutal killing of Shia schoolteachers on May 4.
They demanded the arrest of those responsible for the tragic incident, where teachers and drivers were held hostage inside a government high school building and systematically murdered.
The teachers called for an inclusive investigation, involving all school staff as eyewitnesses.
Local residents dismissed claims of a property dispute and asserted that the killings were sectarian in nature.
Compensation packages were distributed to the victims’ families, and several suspects have been arrested, according to Federal Minister Sajjid Turi.
