In recent operations, security forces in Pakistan have killed seven terrorists across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, Xinhua reported.
On Friday, the military launched an operation in Bannu district, resulting in the deaths of three terrorists and injuries to two others. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported the recovery of weapons and explosives from the slain militants, who were involved in attacks against security forces and civilians.
Additionally, four terrorists were killed in three separate operations in Balochistan’s Awaran, Dera Bugti, and Kech districts over the last three days. These operations were conducted based on intelligence regarding militant presence. The ISPR noted that the deceased were highly wanted for their involvement in various terrorist activities.
Meanwhile, in India, security forces engaged in a firefight with Maoist rebels in Chhattisgarh, resulting in the deaths of at least ten insurgents. This incident underscores the ongoing conflict in India, where the government has intensified efforts to combat the Naxalite movement, which has claimed over 10,000 lives since its inception.
