Ahmadi Place of Worship Attacked in Pakistan on Eid
An Ahmadi place of worship in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir was attacked by a mob of over 150 extremists on the first day of Eid al-Adha, News Intervention reported yesterday.
The attackers, identified as members of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) group, vandalized the building and destroyed its minarets.
This incident follows the detention of three Ahmadiyya community leaders earlier this month, ostensibly to prevent them from celebrating Eid.
Earlier on Saturday, police in Pakistan under pressure from a radical Islamist party allegedly destroyed the tombstones of 17 graves of the minority Ahmadi community in the Punjab province.
