Pakistan: Almost 100 dead from massive rains, flash floods over last week

98 people lost their lives and 89 others were injured in rain-triggered incidents during the last week after heavy rains and floods struck the northwestern and southwestern parts of Pakistan.

According to Anadolu Agency citing the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), heavy rains induced flash floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Balochistan, and Punjab provinces and Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

Some 3,261 houses were also damaged, with 536 fully destroyed, NDMA statement added.

Heavy floods and land sliding have also caused damage to roads and bridges in hilly areas of KP and Balochistan.
