‘Unidentified’ gunmen shoot down 2 Pakistani soldiers of bomb disposal squad
Two Pakistani soldiers were killed and four others were injured on Sunday when a bomb disposal squad was attacked in Balochistan province, Anadolu Agency reported.
The attack occurred while the squad was clearing landmines in the Ankara Kaur Dam area of Gwadar district, the source added.
This incident came days after the killing of five Chinese engineers and their driver in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Pakistan has seen an increase in militant attacks in recent years, with 86% of 245 incidents reported in the first three months of this year occurring in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, resulting in 432 fatalities and 370 injuries.
