Pakistani security forces kill 8 militants after storming gov’t structure in strategic port city

Pakistani security forces successfully neutralized eight attackers on Wednesday after they launched an assault on a government complex in the strategic port city of Gawadar in southwestern Balochistan province, as reported by police and local media.

According to the Pakistan army’s media wing, the heavily armed attackers attempted to enter the Gawadar Port Complex, but security forces thwarted their efforts after engaging in a prolonged gun battle, which resulted in the deaths of two soldiers.

The Balochistan Liberation Army, an outlawed separatist militant group, claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement provided to local media.
