Indian-origin woman embraces Islam, marries Pakistani man
A German Sikh girl of Indian origin, Jaspreet Kaur, embraced Islam and married Ali Arsalan from Sialkot, Pakistan, the Express Tribune reported.
She adopted the name Zainab after embracing Islam at Jamia Hanafia Sialkot, the article said, adding that Kaur and Arsalan had become acquainted during Kaur’s visit to Pakistan for a religious pilgrimage.
Kaur is one of over 2,000 non-Muslims who have embraced Islam at Jamia Hanafia institution, the administrators of the center claim.
