Lebanon Death Toll Rises as Israeli Strikes Escalate in South
—————————-
Southern Lebanon has witnessed a new escalation after a series of Israeli airstrikes targeted several areas, including Nabatieh, Jibchit, Tyre, Tayr Debba and Abbasiyeh, leaving more people dead and wounded.

According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, the cumulative toll from Israeli attacks has risen to 3,711 people martyred and 11,483 wounded since the start of the current war. The figure comes as strikes continue across southern and eastern Lebanon, despite earlier ceasefire efforts between Israel and Hezbollah.

One strike near Hiram Hospital in Tyre reportedly killed one person and wounded 17 others, including members of medical teams. Other attacks hit residential and civilian areas, adding to concerns over the safety of civilians and healthcare workers.

The renewed bombardment has worsened humanitarian conditions in several communities. Many families have been forced to flee, while some residents have reportedly buried victims in temporary graves because access to main cemeteries has become difficult or unsafe.

Humanitarian workers say the impact of displacement extends beyond loss of shelter, affecting livelihoods, education and access to basic services. They warn that continued escalation could further strain already fragile communities and prolong the crisis across southern Lebanon.
