Lebanese media have reported the discovery of the lifeless body of Mohammad Ali Makhybar Ayyoub, a Lebanese nuclear scientist, inside his apartment in France, without any official explanation of the causes of his death being published at this stage, IQNA reported.

According to an article in the Lebanese daily An-Nahar, news of his death reached his hometown of Riyakh, located in the Bekaa Valley, while French authorities continue their investigation to determine the exact circumstances of his death. No further information has yet been released regarding the preliminary findings of the investigation.

Mohammad Ali Makhybar Ayyoub had been conducting his scientific activities in France for approximately fifteen years. According to available information, he regularly traveled between France, Spain, and Switzerland for his academic and scientific work.

Following this death, Mahdi Ayyoub, his cousin, travelled to France from the United Kingdom to complete the necessary steps for the repatriation of the body to Riyadh.

This case has sparked numerous reactions among Lebanese people on social media. Some internet users are suggesting the possibility of a premeditated criminal act, believing that the scientist may have been targeted because of his specific knowledge or scientific expertise.
