Jordan Refers Muslim Brotherhood Finance Cases to Prosecutor as Moroccan Youth Protest Corruption

Jordan’s State Security Court has referred several fundraising cases tied to the banned Muslim Brotherhood to the public prosecutor in Amman, according to a government source cited by Arab News. Some 10 individuals have been detained in connection with these cases; two others remain under investigation—one abroad, one released on bail. The defendants are accused of operating an unlawful financial network, with most funds allegedly spent on internal group activities rather than relief efforts.

Meanwhile in Morocco, youth-led protests have erupted in at least 11 cities, with demonstrators decrying government spending on stadiums ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, while public services such as health and education remain underfunded. Protesters linked the country’s faltering healthcare system to misplaced priorities, chanting slogans like “Stadiums are here, but where are the hospitals?” Security forces dispersed crowds in Rabat, Casablanca, and Marrakech, making arrests according to Arab News.
