Kuwait: Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmed al-Shirazi holds mourning ceremonies over Fatimid Days
Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmed al-Shirazi, son of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, commemorated with the Shia followers of Ahlulbayt in Kuwait the painful tragedy of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
Mourning ceremonies were held at his honorable house, which were attended by official and popular Kuwaiti personalities and the followers of Ahlulbayt.
The correspondent of Shia Waves Agency in Kuwait stated, “The Fatimid mourning ceremonies held in the house of Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmed Al-Shirazi witnessed the attendance of large crowds from the Kuwaiti community loyal to the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).”
He added, “Preachers spoke about the biography of Lady Fatima al-Zahra and the oppression that she was subjected to.”
He explained that “Mourning ceremonies were held over successive days, to commemorate the painful tragedy according to the second narration,” noting that “Ayatollah Shirazi praised the attendees for commemorating this tragedy”.
