Modi administration bans 2 more allegedly pro-freedom parties in Kashmir

The Indian government has outlawed two more allegedly ‘pro-freedom’ organizations in Kashmir, and extended the ban on Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front for another five years, Kashmir Media Service reported.

According to a government statement, the banned outfits continue to engage in pro-freedom activities, adding “anyone found challenging India’s security, sovereignty and integrity will face harsh legal consequences.”

Several other parties have already been outlawed by Nationalist Modi government for demanding the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people.
