Iraq: Al-Qasim Holy Shrine to receive Iraqi pilgrims walking towards holy city of Mashhad

Today, Sunday, the Secretariat of the shrine of Al-Qasim bin Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon them) in Hilla, Iraq, confirmed the intensification of efforts to receive pilgrims walking from different Iraqi provinces, on their way to the holy city of Mashhad in Iran.

The official of the Holy Shrine said in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency that, “the Husseini Rituals Unit in the holy shrine has intensified efforts in recent days to receive pilgrims coming from various Iraqi provinces.”

The statement added, “The pilgrims who come on foot are honored to visit the shrine of Al-Qasim (peace be upon him) before they set off on their march towards the holy city of Mashhad to visit the shrine of his brother, Imam Redha (peace be upon him).”

The statement also added, “The unit is preparing special programs to receive the pilgrims, who hold mourning ceremonies in the holy shrine of al-Qasim before heading to the holy city of Mashhad.”
