The Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development in holy Karbala sent a team to the Zurbatiya Border Crossing with Iran in Iraq’s Kut province, to provide the necessary services for the pilgrims coming to commemorate the Arbaeen.
The foundation said, Tuesday, 13th of September, in a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency: “The increasing flow of pilgrims coming to commemorate the Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) through the Zurbatiya Border Crossing and the lack of services provided, prompted it to send a team of its employees to serve the the pilgrims.”
The statement explained that “this initiative comes in support of the Husseini Mawkibs in providing the best services to the pilgrims,” adding that “the services included distributing cold drinking water, fruits and beverages to the pilgrims on their journey towards holy Karbala.”
The statement indicated that “the team were near the the pilgrims, and provided them with the necessary services since the first days of their entry through the border crossing.”
The statement also pointed out that “the services were provided in cooperation with the Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Media Group and the Imam Hussein Charity (IHC), in order to serve the pilgrims of Abu Al-Ahrar and his brother Abi Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them).”
In its statement, the Foundation emphasized “the greatness of the service for the pilgrims of the Arbaeen, which was not limited to pilgrims in the holy city of Karbala, but also included arrivals at the border areas.”
It is worth noting that the three organizations enjoy great patronage by the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, and are considered among the active organizations in Iraq and the world.
