Iraq: University students’ procession launched to revive Husseini Cause
Today, in Karbala, the annual united mourning procession of the Iraqi universities students was launched to revive the Husseini Cause.
“Today, a large number of Iraqi university students gather, along with their professors, to renew their condolences to Imam Hussein, his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas and their family (peace be upon them). This mourning procession is held annually before the start of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, which includes Iraqi universities from the north to the south,” a university professor said.
The procession started in groups from the street of Bab Al-Qibla of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Holy Shrine, heading to the honorable al-Abbas Holy Shrine, then heading towards the Holy Shrine of Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him), passing through the area between the two Holy Shrines.
It is worth noting that the Husseini processions have continued since the beginnig of the mournful month of Muharram amid great preparations and mobilization by the servants of the two holy shrines.
