Black banners and signs spread throughout Holy Karbala to revive the Ashura commemoration of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him

Black signs of grief and mourning have spread around the holy city of Karbala with the arrival of the months of grief for the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and their Shias, the sacred months of Muharram and Safar.

The two holy shrines of Imam Hussain and al-Abbas were covered with black banners to declare mourning on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, his family and companions, peace be upon them.  

The people of Holy Karbala have been reviving the joyous and mournful occasions of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, by spreading sadness or joy, and exchanging condolences on the martyrdom anniversaries, while praying to the Almighty to hasten the honorable reappearance of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him), to ensure safety and security for all of humanity.

Manifestations of sadness, sorrow or joy are spread on every occasion of the martyrdoms or births of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in order to revive their occasions and be proud of belonging to them.

The organizers of these events say that these events and activities are “one of the ancient legacies of the people of Holy Karbala.”  

Holy shrines, Shia centers and Husseiniyahs in Iraq and the world announced the preparation of special programs to commemorate Ashura, as it revives the great principles and values ​​in the hearts of the Shias.
