With the approach of the month of Muharram and the commemoration of Ashura, the floor of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine is laid with red carpets

Employees of the Service Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine took the initiative to cover the blessed Husseini courtyard with red carpets, in preparation for the eternal Ashura ceremonies on the tenth of Muharram.

The red carpet works were launched inside the corridors of the Holy Shrine, coinciding with the approaching of the month of sorrows.

The tenth day, which commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, witnesses the participation of millions in the revival of the Husseini rituals on this painful day, including the ritual of Tatbir and the Twereej Run.

The holy courtyards of Imam Hussein and his brother, Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, are covered with red carpets sand, in order to facilitate the flow of ceremonies on the tenth of Muharram.
