Husseini processions finish their preparations to commemorate the International Day in Support of Al-Askariyain

The Husseini processions have finished all their preparations to commemorate the International Day in Support of Al-Askariyain, peace be upon them, in the holy city of Samarra.

The Public Relations official of the Shirazi Religious Authority stated, in a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, that the al-Walaa Wal Fida’ Wal Fath Procession and the Husseini processions finished all their preparations to go to the holy city of Samarra on the last Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan, in response to the call of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, to commemorate the International Day in Support of Al-Askariyain, peace be upon them.

Ahlulbayt followers have been reviving the last Friday of the great month of Ramadan at the Shrine of Imam Hasan al-Askary and Imam Ali al-Hadi, peace be upon then, for more than 50 years, after the late supreme religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad al-Husseini al-Shirazi, urged people to visit the holy shrine in Samarra due to its distant location.

Pilgrims are transported free of charge from Karbala to Samarra after noon prayers and return after dawn prayer.

It is worth noting that during the time of the former regime, this blessed pilgrimage was stopped, but after the fall of the Saddam regime, the trips were reorganized so that the city of Samarra witnessed year after year an increase in the number of pilgrims participating in it.
