Al-Qaeda leader in Yemen urges global attacks in new video threat
……………
In a newly released video, Saad bin Atif al-Awlaki, leader of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), called for assassinations of top U.S. officials and attacks on civilians and businesses, including major companies like Microsoft and Tesla. The 30-minute video marks a dangerous escalation, featuring direct threats against political leaders, economic centers, and even hospitals.
Al-Awlaki, who assumed leadership of AQAP in Yemen last year, is one of the most wanted individuals by the U.S., which has offered a $6 million reward for information leading to his capture.
In his statement, al-Awlaki also urged attacks on families of American politicians and labeled certain Arab leaders as “traitors,” calling for attacks on their residences.
The video signals an attempt by Al-Qaeda to revive its global presence after years of decline, raising concerns about renewed terrorist threats and the spread of violent extremist rhetoric targeting civilians and key institutions worldwide.
