First Iranian Arbaeen pilgrim sets out on foot from his home towards Karbala to commemorate the upcoming Arbaeen Pilgrimage

The first Iranian visitor set out on foot from his country towards Iraq to participate in the commemoration of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, which falls on the twentieth of the month of Safar of the next Hijri year.

Shia activists’ blogs, followed by the Shia Waves News Agency, reported that “the Iranian visitor, Ali Asghar Razavi, set out with great enthusiasm from his home in the city of Babol in Mazandaran province in northern Iran, on foot towards the Iraqi border.”

“Al-Razavi left his home to participate in the revival of the upcoming Arbaeen Pilgrimage in Karbala, and he arrived yesterday in the Iranian city of Kashan,” added the blogs.

The Iranians are waiting with great anticipation to participate in the revival of the holy pilgrimage in the holy city of Karbala, while talks are underway between Iraq and Iran to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims.
