Shia Muslims across Pakistan marked the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) with celebrations and religious gatherings, including symbolic displays of devotion on high mountain peaks, where participants raised the slogan “Labbaik Ya Hussain” to express their reverence for the Master of the Martyrs.

According to reports from Pakistani media seen by Shia Waves Agency, the occasion — observed nationwide on Friday as the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet’s grandson (peace be upon them all) — was marked by Milad gatherings and joyous events at mosques, imambargahs, and other places of worship. The observances took place as part of Hafta-e-Wilayat-e-Muhammad wa Aal-e-Muhammad, a week-long programme dedicated to honoring the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them).

Officials and community leaders extended congratulations to the Muslim community, with local authorities and civic figures highlighting Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) message of truth, patience, and sacrifice. In Sukkur, the city’s mayor said the anniversary serves as a reminder of Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) enduring legacy.
