Four men from Karbala win the Arab Freestyle Wrestling Championship in Egypt

Four wrestling champions from Karbala achieved an important victory for Iraq after representing their country in the Arab Championship in Freestyle and Roman Wrestling, which took place in Alexandria, Egypt.

Karar Abbas Maksar, Sajjad Ali Maksar, Ali Abbas, and Hassan Ali Maksar won gold, silver and bronze medals, as representatives of the Iraqi team, which won first place in the tournament..

Sports journalist, Muslim Al-Rikabi, in a tweet followed by Shia Waves News Agency, described this victory as “Karbala’s outstanding achievement.”

Al-Rikabi stated that “the youth of Karbala took the podiums and decorated their chests with gold, silver and bronze medals in the Arab Championship for Freestyle and Roman Wrestling that was held in the Arab Republic of Egypt.”
