Egypt: Visit the Mosque of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, via an online reservation

The Masajid Foundation for the Development of Ahlulbayt Mosques has developed a plan for the Egyptian Minister of Endowment, Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, on the mechanism of visiting the Mosque of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in Cairo, and the shrines that it oversees its development.

An informed source said, in a statement followed by Shia Waves News Agency, that there are two things within the plan set by the Masajid Foundation. The first is to set a day and date for the visit, so that there will be a day for men and a day for women, and the second thing is to create a mobile application for the mosques of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, where users can reserve a day to visit the mosque. This method is followed in the Prophet’s Mosque in Saudi Arabia.

The source explained that the Ministry of Endowments has not yet decided the matter in determining the mechanism for visiting the Mosque of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

Last week, President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi inaugurated the Imam Hussein Mosque, peace be upon them, after major renovation works.
