The Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Kabul crowded with mourners commemorating the Fatimid Days

In the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, in the Afghan capital, Kabul, mourning ceremonies were held commemorating the last Fatimid days, which mark the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her).

A statement issued by His Eminence’s office, which was received by Shia Waves News Agency, said: “A huge audience of mourners came yesterday to participate in the mourning programs for the first day of the last Fatimid days, and to remember the oppression that the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon her) was subjected to.”

It added, “The office of the honorable Shirazi Religious Authority will revive, for three consecutive days, the Fatimid mourning ceremonies and recall the calamity that befell the Islamic nation.”

The statement indicated that “the Shias of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in Kabul and the rest of the Afghan cities were keen to participate extensively in reviving the mourning ceremonies, in support of Lady Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) and publicizing her great grievance.”

The statement indicated that “mourning ceremonies are held on a large scale in the country to affirm the commandments of the Supreme Religious Authority, which are to glorify the rituals of Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) and support her divine cause.”
