Arbaeen Commemorations Held in Bamyan as Speakers Emphasize Standing Against Injustice

Arbaeen ceremonies commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) were held across Afghanistan’s Bamyan province, with widespread participation from local residents.
According to reports, people in Bamyan gathered at mosques and religious centers to hold mourning gatherings, recite elegies, and distribute offerings in remembrance of the martyrs of Karbala.
A special Arbaeen ceremony was also held at Fatimiyah Mosque in the Sar-e Asiab area of Bamyan, where religious speakers and reciters highlighted the teachings of the Ashura movement and called for adherence to the values and principles represented by Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
During the gatherings, speakers emphasized the importance of resisting oppression, defending justice, and drawing lessons from Imam Hussein’s stand in Karbala as a model of faith, sacrifice, and moral courage.
The Arbaeen commemorations are held annually by Shia Muslim communities and followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) around the world to honor Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and reflect on the enduring messages of the Karbala tragedy.
