UK Hosts Global Hazara Solidarity Day in Canterbury
————————————
The Hazara Association in Britain marked Global Hazara Solidarity Day with a large gathering in the city of Canterbury, attended by members of the Hazara community as well as several cultural and political figures.
According to BBC Persian, the event emphasized the importance of global unity among Hazaras, the preservation of cultural identity, and the promotion of values of respect, peace, and coexistence.
Participants strongly condemned the ongoing violence and persecution faced by Hazaras in Afghanistan and urged the international community to take immediate action to end discrimination, ensure security, and create equal opportunities for the marginalized ethnic group.
The gathering also served as an opportunity for younger generations of Hazaras to learn more about their community’s history, culture, and achievements, while expressing solidarity with Hazaras across the world.
Organizers said the event aimed to amplify the voices of the Hazara people globally and highlight the need for international recognition and protection of their rights.
