Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Offers Help to Build Cancer Hospital in Afghanistan
……………………….
Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provincial administration offered to help build a cancer hospital in Afghanistan, according to a statement published Saturday by the KP administration.
The offer was made during a meeting between KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Sardar Ahmad Shakib. Gandapur also pledged support for Afghanistan’s agricultural sector and reiterated KP’s commitment to aid Afghan welfare.
KP shares deep cultural and linguistic ties with Afghanistan’s Pashtun communities and has faced rising cross-border violence, which Islamabad blames on Afghan-based militants—a claim Kabul denies.
Despite tensions, Saturday’s discussion highlighted both sides’ willingness to strengthen ties through cooperation and cultural connections. Gandapur announced plans to send a special delegation to Afghanistan to build trust.
