On Wednesday, Yemen called on the United Nations to put pressure on the Saudi coalition to stop its piracy of oil products.
“We make a new appeal to the United Nations, and if it is unable to pressure the Saudi coalition to stop its piracy of oil derivatives, it must acknowledge that,” Yusef al-Hadri, spokesman for the Yemeni Ministry of Health, said in a statement to al-Masira TV.
Al-Hadri added that the health sector will be paralyzed in the coming days if the piracy of oil derivatives continues, stressing that “if the coalition continues to pirate it, then in the coming days we will see a halt to many hospitals and health centers.”
He explained, “The blood transfusion center provides its services continuously throughout the week without stopping, and this raises its need for oil derivatives.”
At the same level, the National Center for Blood Transfusion in Yemen held the coalition forces responsible for the repercussions of the blockade and the ongoing piracy and all the consequences, specifically regarding the health sector.
