A spokesman for the 203rd Corps Command, Khan Momand, told reporters that a bomb planted near a road in the village of Hill, exploded after a military vehicle crossed over it.
He added that the bombing killed three Afghan army soldiers and wounded two others.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing.
