ISIS claims responsibility for the attack on a mosque in Kunduz, northern Afghanistan


ISIS terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the attack that targeted a mosque in Kunduz province, northeastern Afghanistan, on Friday.
The state-run Bakhtar news agency in Afghanistan reported that a suicide bomber attacked a mosque in the province, causing a violent explosion during Friday prayer inside a mosque in Kunduz province.
It indicated the martyrdom and wounding of at least 100 Shia worshipers.
Meanwhile, Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban terrorist movement, which returned to power in Afghanistan last August, confirmed on his Twitter account that there were martyrs and wounded as a result of the attack, adding that special forces of the movement arrived at the scene of the accident to investigate.
A member of the Taliban’s Culture Committee, Muhammad Jalal, blamed ISIS for the attack, on Twitter, expressing the movement’s commitment to eradicating ISIS in the country.
