900-year-old copy of Quran unveiled

A 12th century copy of the Holy Quran was unveiled in a ceremony at the Reza Abbasi Museum in Tehran on Sunday with a number of Quran researchers and manuscripts experts in attendance.

 

A 12th century copy of the Holy Quran was unveiled in a ceremony at the Reza Abbasi Museum in Tehran on Sunday with a number of Quran researchers and manuscripts experts in attendance.

Dating back to the year 1150 AD, it is known as the Zaferani Copy, named after its calligrapher Abol Fakhr ibn Abilfazl al-Zaferani.
