A twin bombing targeting a market in the Iraqi capital Baghdad killed at least 44 people, Iraqi media reported.

A twin bombing targeting a market in the Iraqi capital Baghdad killed at least 44 people, Iraqi media reported.

According to a security official, around 70 were wounded in the back-to-back bomb explosions in the market of al-Bab al-Sharqi district in central Baghdad.

The security official added that the victims included security personnel.
