Husseini services units are resting places with special facilities and services for pilgrims set up on roads leading to Karbala during the pilgrimage.
Mohammadi, a Quranic official with a committee set up to facilitate the Arbaeen pilgrimage, said 5,000 copies of the Quran printed in Iran have been prepared in cooperation with the Center for Publishing and Printing the Quran, affiliated with the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
Arbaeen comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
Each year, a huge crowd of Shias flock to Karbala, where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, is located, to perform mourning rites.
In the past few years, around 20 million pilgrims from all over the world took part in the mourning ceremonies in the Iraqi holy city marking Arbaeen.
