Minister meets Shia pilgrims at Taftan border on Pm directive
Minister of State for Interior Sheharyar Afridi on Friday reached Taftan town on border with Iran and met Shia pilgrims on the special directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan and assured the pilgrims that PTI-led federal government would take concrete measures for provision of all possible resources to them.

Talking to the pilgrims on a short visit to the Pak-Iran border city Taftan, he assured that federal government would provide full protection to the pilgrims who go to visit the sacred shrines in the overseas countries (Iran and Iraq via Taftan border).
Pilgrims security is federal government’s top priority, Shehryar Afridi said.
He directed the local authorities to facilitate the pilgrims in order to ensure that they do not face any problems or difficulties, in accordance to their travelling schedules. On request of pilgrims, he also assured the increase in the number of immigration staff.
Earlier, Commissioner Quetta Muhammad Hashim Ghalzai and Deputy Commissioner Chagai Saifullah Khaitran welcomed the State Minister for Interior, Sheryar Afridi.
