Notorious takfiri terrorists threw a grenade in the premises of a Shia seminary in Karachi, Pakistan that exploded near the room of a teacher (religious scholar) leaving the watchman injured.
The grenade exploded in a seminary in Rizvia Society on Friday evening, according to the area police. They said the explosion occurred near the room of a teacher in the Tanzeemul Makatib seminary. The blast caused fear and panic among residents of the area, they added.
A police team rushed to the spot and took the watchman, Yawar Abbas, 50 years-old, to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital under custody. He was provided first aid and kept in custody for interrogation, the police said.
Meanwhile, the Sindh inspector general of police, Amjad Javed Saleemi, has taken notice of the grenade blast and asked the DIG West to hold an inquiry and submit a report to him immediately, according to a police spokesperson.
A news channel reported that CTD police official Raja Umer Khattab also visited the site and took books and documents into his custody.
