According to the a media report, the terrorist chief of finance and logistics, “Abu Obeida”, was killed during a joint operation by the US Armed Forces and Iraqi military in the Mount Qarachogh area.
Citing the head of the forces in Makhmour, Sirwan Barzani, Rudaw claimed that the operation took place at 6 P.M. (local time) on Saturday and led to the death of Abu Obedia and two of his associates.
The U.S. Coalition reportedly provided the air support to the Iraqi forces that were carrying out this raid.
Abu Obeida is the highest ranking ISIS leader to be killed in either Syria or Iraq in the last month.
