3 security personnel killed in suicide attack in SW Pakistan

 At least three security personnel were killed and three others injured in a suicide attack in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province on Monday evening, local media reported.

 

 

 At least three security personnel were killed and three others injured in a suicide attack in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province on Monday evening, local media reported.

Local Urdu channel Dunya TV quoted security sources as saying that two suicide bombers attacked a security check post of the paramilitary troops Frontier Corps (FC) in Mastung, a district located some 43 km from Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan province.

According to security sources, the FC personnel shot dead one suicide bomber, however the second one blew himself up, killing three personnel on the spot while injuring three others.

Following the blast, police, rescue teams and additional contingents of security forces rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and the injured personnel to the Ghous Bakhsh hospital in the district.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in the surroundings.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
