Two shia scholars taken into illegal custody in Punjab, Pakistan

Two Shia brothers studying in Iran and Iraq, respectively, were taken into illegal custody from their house in a locality in Kabirwala where they had returned to get medical treatment and marriage.

The maternal uncle of the young Shia scholars said that the cops boarding three vehicles arrived at their house in Moza Chak Norang Shah Basri Kalu Wala in Kabir Wala. They stormed into the house, misbehaved with the women family members also and slapped Shia brothers in the face in the presence of their family members including women. 

Mohammad Ali Kashifi is a student of the Jamia Al Mustafa al Alami in Iran and Nasir Abbas Shah is a student of religious seminary in Najaf, Iraq. Nasir Abbas was Shah was called back by the family for his marriage and Kashifi wanted to get medical treatment. 

The law-abiding Shia brothers/religious scholars were taken into illegal custody at midnight between July 12 and 13. They were not named in any case but they have been subjected to enforced disappearance. 

Shia Muslims have condemned the undeclared and illegal arrest of innocent Shia Muslims in Pakistan. They demanded immediate release of all innocent Shia Muslims who have been subjected to enforced disappearance.
