Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has banned the broadcast of Wesal TV channel in Pakistan due to mounting pressure of patriot and peace loving Pakistanis on social media.
The credit also goes to Shia agencies that raised voice against the hypocrisy of the biased PEMRA chairman who had to take decision because his double standards were exposed.
The PEMRA authorities have warned the cable operators that stern action would be taken against those who aired the Wesal TV channel through their networks in Pakistan.
Wesal TV channel is based in the Saudi city of Jeddah from where it airs programmers to divide Muslims on sectarian grounds and promotes intolerant and pro-terrorists Wahhabi takfiri ideology.
