On Saturday, terrorists, possibly from ISIS, planted a bomb, which devastated a convoy of buses that was waiting to transport refugees away from the fighting.

Around 120 people were killed – half of them children – and scores more were injured by flying shrapnel, including this little girl.

In the video, broadcasted by the official Syrian Arab News Agency, she is sitting in an ambulance and turns her head as someone, possibly a paramedic or a doctor, tries to amuse her by inflating two surgical gloves.

Slowly her sweet little face breaks into a smile.

The agony of the Syrian civil war continues but this brave little girl shows that humanity endures among the ruins.
