UN fears 200 died in coalition air strikes on Mosul

The United Nations has raised grave concerns about reports of high civilian casualties in the Iraqi city of Mosul.

Senior UN officials in Iraq said theywere stunned by accounts of “terrible loss of life”, after the air strike that killed at least 200 people by the US-led coalition.

The so-called Islamic state ISIS terrorists have been using civil facilities as shields against the air and ground strikes by both the international coalition and the Iraqi Army.

US warplanes are supposedly supporting the Iraqi army’s mission to retake Mosul from the so-called Islamic State (ISIS).
