The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has announced the upcoming opening of a new pilgrim mini-city or compound named Sayyid El-Awsiya.

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has announced the upcoming opening of a new pilgrim mini-city or compound named Sayyid El-Awsiya.

The compound is 22 acres, has halls, residential complexes, and VIP apartment buildings for pilgrims. It has been erected and equipped with modern technologies.

 The purpose of such compounds is to accommodate as many pilgrims as possible during the major pilgrimages when millions of people come to make pilgrimage to Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
