Quran Competition for Teachers, Seminarians in India

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, a Quran competition has been organized by the Shia Cultural Center in India on the sidelines of a six-day Quran teacher training course.

 

 

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, a Quran competition has been organized by the Shia Cultural Center in India on the sidelines of a six-day Quran teacher training course.

The southeast Asian country’s Qasim Al-Ulum Arabic University has also cooperated with the center in holding the Quranic programs.

The course began on May 16 at the university in Uttar Pradesh and will conclude on May 21.

40 Quran teachers from different parts of India have taken the course, which is taught by Nosratollah Hosseini, Iranian Quran reciter and expert.

The competition, attended by 26 Quran teacher and seminarians, is supervised by the Iranian scholar and two local experts in Quran recitation.

Winners of the competition will be awarded in a ceremony to be held concurrent with the birthday anniversary of Imam Mahdi , may Allah hasten his reappearance, on Sunday.
